Assistant, NY Commercial Lines Insurance

Salary: $45,000 – $65,000

Description: You will be an integral part of this department and assist the Team Lead, Account Manager, and/or Producers with NY based commercial lines book of business, in accordance with Agency guidelines. You will be responsible for providing timely and professional day-to-day client service.

You Are: A great communicator with the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative setting

Responsibilities will include:

  • Updating files in the Agency system (Epic)
  • Processing endorsements, certificates of insurance, and invoices
  • Answering company phones
  • Assistance with: new business, renewals, re-marketing, insurance quoting
  • Preparing binders and client proposals
  • Processing incoming/outgoing mail
  • Policy review
  • Ordering loss runs/experience rating data, and MVR’s
  • Process vehicle ID cards

Requirements:
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year College or technical school, 5 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Great written and verbal communication skills. Microsoft Excel/Word experience. Willing to obtain Property & Casualty Insurance License within 1 st year of employment: sponsored after 6 months of hire date.

Nice-to-haves:

Knowledge of insurance rating systems, markets, products, and underwriting procedures. Experience with EPIC Agency System or other CRM system and ability/desire to learn quickly. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with the NY Construction industry. Property & Casualty Insurance License.

Account Manager, Personal Lines Insurance

Salary: $55,000 – $70,000

Description: Service/Manage a book of personal insurance accounts, in accordance with Agency guidelines. Retain a growing department by demonstrating integrity in all dealings with clients, carriers, producers, and internal staff. You will be responsible for providing timely and professional day-to-day client service.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Mitigating service problems
  • Managing new business, renewals, re-markets, and insurance quoting
  • Binding, invoicing, and client proposals
  • Process endorsements, ID cards, and evidence of insurances
  • Process incoming/outgoing mail
  • Handle notice of cancellations
  • Process of claim handling
  • Opportunity to cross-sell or up-sell
  • Updating the file in the agency system

Requirements:
